Seminar meeting was held under the Dissertation Council

On June 30, 2025, a scientific seminar meeting was held under the Dissertation Council of the Institute of Zoology.

During the meeting, the research by Gulnaz Ismayılova, a research associate at the Applied Zoology Center of the Institute, was examined. She presented her doctoral dissertation entitled “The Main Native and Adventive Pests of the Genus Morus in Azerbaijan and Their Potential Distribution Model” for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Entomology. Her scientific supervisor is Professor Rauf Sultanov, Doctor of Biological Sciences.

At the conclusion of the session, considering the scientific and practical significance of the work, it was determined that Gulnaz Ismayılova’s dissertation in the 2413.01 – “Entomology” specialty meets the requirements established by the Doctoral Dissertations Council of the Supreme Attestation Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the Doctor of Philosophy degree, and it was deemed appropriate to advance the work to the next stage of review.
