Employees of the Institute of Zoology have conducted an expedition in the Astara district

From May 5 to 9, 2025, researchers from the Protozoology Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology of MSERA conducted a scientific expedition in the Astara district. The team included: a leading researcher Naila Hamid gızı Isgandarova, a senior resarcher Simuzar Oruj qızı Mamedova, a senior researcher Turkan Firudin qızı Gurbanova, a senior researcher Elyana Nail qızı Tahirova, and a senior laboratory assistant Rahima Zaman gızı Aghayeva.

The expedition aimed to collect scientific data related to their laboratory's research focus. During the fieldwork, they gathered samples of hydro fauna from the Caspian Sea's Astara coast and collected specimens of certain vertebrate animals from coastal areas. Some of the samples were processed on-site, while others were brought back to the laboratory for protistological studies.
