Preliminary Discussion of Tavakkul Isgandarov's dissertation held

On May 7, 2025, a preliminary discussion was held on the dissertation of Tavakkul Isgandarov, PhD in Biology and Associate Professor, Head of the Terrestrial Vertebrates Laboratory. The dissertation, titled "Taxonomy, Zoogeography, Bioecology, and Economic Importance of the Venomous Snakes (Viperidae) of Azerbaijan", was prepared for obtaining the Doctor of Science degree. The meeting was chaired by Doctor of Biological Sciences Tahir Karimov and attended by laboratory staff.

The session began with the candidate's presentation, followed by a Q&A session regarding the topic. After the speeches and discussions, the laboratory’s final opinion was read out, and it was decided to submit the dissertation to the next stage of the defense process.
