Institute of Zoology held an event dedicated to International Women's Day on March 8

On March 7, 2025, an event dedicated to International Women's Day on March 8 was held at the Institute of Zoology of MSERA.

Opening the event Director General of the institute, Ph.D., Associate Professor Aladdin Eyvazov, sincerely congratulated the female employees on the occasion of March 8 Women's Day and wished them family happiness and success in their scientific activities. He noted that our women have always been distinguished from other nations with their wisdom, loyalty, heroism, literacy, fidelity, and high maternal qualities, and spoke about the irreplaceable role they play in our lives. Emphasizing that Azerbaijani women are successfully represented in high positions in important state structures and actively participate in socio-political, socio-economic, scientific-cultural processes, the General Director said that gender equality is at a high level in our country.

Then, for their fruitful activity in the scientific life of the Institute and on the occasion of March 8 - International Women's Day, PhD in Biology Simuzar Mamedova, Tamara Nuruyeva and Saliga Gazi were awarded Honorary Certificates of the Institute.

Moreover at the event, the Executive Director of the Institute of Zoology, Dr. Elshad Ahmadov, Chairman of the Free Trade Union Organization Gulnara Aslanova, Chairman of the YAP territorial organization, PhD Hafiz Mukhtarov, Head of the Laboratory of Terrestrial Vertebrates, PhD Tavakkul Isgandarov and a senior researcher of the Laboratory of Parasitology, PhD Yegana Mahmudova congratulated the women on this significant day and conveyed their best wishes to them.

At the end of the event, the Chairman of the Free Trade Union Organization of the Institute of Zoology, Gulnara Aslanova, presented holiday gifts to the female employees.
