General Meeting of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On February 20, the General Meeting of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences was held at the Presidium of ANAS.

The event was attended by Farah Aliyeva, Head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy, Diaspora, Multiculturalism and Religious Issues of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Science and Education, Anar Isgandarov, Chairman of the Science and Education Committee of the Milli Majlis, Famil Mustafayev, Chairman of the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Aktoti Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Professor Muzaffar Sheker (online), President of the Turkic Academy of Sciences (TUBA), Professor Li Lei (online), member of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Korean Academy of the People's Republic of China, including members of the Presidium of ANAS, deputies, active and corresponding members of the Academy, directors of ANAS and its scientific institutions and organizations, rectors of higher education institutions, authors of important scientific results achieved in the republic during 2024.

First, there was a review of the exhibition of scientific achievements dedicated to the results of 2024.

The meeting was opened by the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbayli, who brought to the attention of the issues on the agenda of the General Meeting.

Then the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.

Then, the memory of the outstanding scientist, corresponding member of ANAS Rufat Mirgasimov was commemorated with a minute of silence.

At the General Meeting, a report by the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbayli, on the topic “From fundamental reforms in the Academy - to the Development Concept and Roadmap” was listened.
