On September 27 "Memorial Day" event was held at the Institute of Zoology of the MSE RA

The event began with a silent commemoration of the memory of the martyrs and the playing of the National Anthem and the showing of a video clip dedicated to "Memorial Day". Director General of the Institute of Zoology, PhD, Associate Professor Aladdin Eyvazov said that each of us is living the proudest days of the modern history of Azerbaijan. Remembrance Day is an expression of deep respect for our soldiers and officers who fought heroically in the Patriotic War and died for the territorial integrity of our country, as well as all our martyrs. In the morning of September 27, 2020, as a result of large-scale sabotage by the Armenian Armed Forces and intensive firing of large-caliber weapons, mortars and various caliber artillery units at the positions and settlements of the Azerbaijani army located in the front-line zone, to prevent the combat activity of the Armenian army and ensure the safety of the civilian population for this purpose, the command of the Azerbaijani army decided to launch a quick counter-attack operation of the troops along the entire front. Clashes flared up quickly in a short time and turned into the Second Karabakh War.

Later, at the event, the Chairman of the First Party Organization of Yasamal district "504" district, PhD Hafiz Mukhtarov, Head of the Laboratory of Terrestrial Vertebrates, PhD, Associate Professor Tavakkul Iskandarov, a junior researcher of the Parasitology Laboratory, Aynur Hajiagayeva, made speeches on "Memorial Day".

At the end of the event, employees visited II Alley of Martyrs, commemorated our martyrs with deep sadness and laid flowers on the graves.
