An international conference on "Plant pests and their management under global climate change" was held
On September 24-25 of the current year, an international conference on "Plant pests and their management under the conditions of global climate change" was held at the PB and SRIH Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Ganja.
General Director of the MSE Institute of Zoology of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Associate Professor Aladdin Eyvazov participated in the mentioned international conference. He stated that the warming caused by global climate change and the great consequences caused by is one of the biggest problems facing our planet today. Global climate change is today's reality, and its severe consequences are already threatening human life in many parts of our planet. Global warming is not only a topic discussed by scientists, environmentalists and politicians, but every country, every community and every individual must contribute to solving this problem.
A. Eyvazov also pointed out that Azerbaijan is among the countries that support the fight against climate change at the global level. By the Decree of the President of the Republic, this year was declared "The Year of Solidarity for the Green World" in our country. In addition, our republic is achieving important successes in the transition process to "green energy". The transition to "green energy" involves the replacement of traditional energy resources with renewable energy sources by applying modern technologies. The rapid development of technology and the goals set by the countries of the world in this direction accelerate the "green energy" transition.
He further said that climate change is a global threat that requires coordinated action at all levels. Only through international cooperation, scientific research and an integrated approach will we be able to minimize the impact of climate change on plant health from pests and prevent the threats it poses to our future.
