The scientific secretary of the Institute of Zoology of the Ministry of Science and Education, Assoc. Prof., Ph.D. Sara Aliyeva discovered the species of the fauna in the territories of the towns - Lachin and Shusha on June 17-19. During the ichthyological studies in the Hekari river, river goldfish (Salma fario), Araz carp (Capoeta sevangi) and Kura silverfish (Alburnun filippi), as well as nailed to the reptiles - a 25-26-year-old Mediterranean sea turtle (Testudo graeca) with a damaged pelvis, and The Caucasian agama (Paralaudakia caucasia) in Shusha, in the rocky area of the Jidir plain, were found.

The materials obtained during the research are currently being thoroughly processed in the laboratory.
