Head of Paleozoology laboratory was on an expedition in Samukh and Shamkir regions

K.A. Tapdigova, Acting Head of Paleozoology laboratory, PhD in Biology, Assoc.Prof. and Kazim Mammadov, a researcher of Mingechevir Scientific Base, visited Samukh and Shamkir regions on the topic of "Research of zooplankton of Yenikend reservoirs". During the expedition, zooplankton samples were collected from the upper, middle and lower parts of Yenikend reservoirs in Samukh and Shamkir regions. In shallow water areas with a depth of 0.7-1.2 m, 100 l of water was filtered through an Epstein grid at each station, and material was collected using a rowboat in the central parts. A large Epstein grid was used to collect quantitative samples. Quality samples were taken from silt, sand and stone biotopes, silt-sand, plant biotopes (coastal waters where macrophytes develop) on the shoreline of reservoirs. A total of 27 hydro biological samples were gathered.
