Ganja hosts international forum of young scientists and specialists

The international forum of young scientists and specialists on "Integration processes of the world of science in the XXI century" dedicated to the project "Ganja - European Youth Capital 2016" by organizational support of Ganja City Executive Power and the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan began its work on October 10.

The event, held at the Heydar Aliyev Center, attended by young scientists and specialists of ANAS, PhD students, dissertators number of institutes and universities, as well as scientists and researchers from 14 countries.

First, the participants of the international forum visited the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Then, sounded the national anthems, was broadcast a video on the "Ganja - European Youth Capital - 2016"project.

Opening the event, Deputy for Humanitarian Affairs, of executive power of Ganja Sevda Gurbanaliyeva noted that, thanks to the attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev, Ganja city, maintaining its vintage look, every day developed and modernized. Ganja, elected the European Youth Capital in 2016, next year will be awarded the title of Cultural Capital of the CIS countries.

It was noted that, as in 2016, and the following year in Ganja will be realized projects of local and international significance and life of the city is such a rich scientific, socio-cultural activities.

Sevda Gurbanaliyeva spoke about the importance of joint cooperation of people working in the field of science in the globalized world. It was noted that, such cooperation will contribute to the solution of many problems, the establishment of friendly relations between nations, as well as intercultural dialogue.

Noting that, the importance of such an international event in Ganja has a positive value for the scientific and cultural life of the city, Sevda Gurbanaliyeva spoke about the importance of online terms of informing the world community about realities of Azerbaijan.

Then, speaking at the event, Academic-Secretary of Department of Earth Sciences of ANAS, Academician Fakhraddin Gadirov delivered a message of President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh to the forum participants.

Academician-Secretary of ANAS Ganja Department, Academician Fuad Aliyev in his speech said that, in current years in Azerbaijan, as in all fields of science the education is achieved great successes also.

In some academic institutes have been carried out reconstruction work. Scientific researches conducted in academic institutions have been established in accordance with the requirements of the day.

In recent years, the country started to operate a large number of modern higher education. Strengthen cooperation between institutions and the oldest centers of science and education in the world.

It was noted that, the majority of employees of scientific and educational institutions operating in Ganja, are young people. At present, these institutions operate 650 PhD and 80 Doctors of Sciences, who led the research in various fields of science and are actively involved in the educational process. Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS, associate professor Famin Salmanov in his speech brought to the attention that, to the international forum were sent 530 abstracts from 40 countries.

Scientific Forum experts are fit to the requirements of 350 scientific abstracts were accepted from 14 countries, which will be published in a bulk.

Famin Salmanov stressed that, the forum has two purposes. The first - creating a scientific environment for young people in connection with the integration of in the world of science, and secondly - the propaganda of Azerbaijan and the ancient city of Ganja, which has a classic cultural history and multicultural values.

It was noted that, the forum will discuss the role of national youth in the process of integration into the world of science and tradition of multiculturalism in Azerbaijan, as well as the participants will be provided with detailed information in connection with the promotion of the heritage of Nizami Ganjavi in the world.

In his speeches the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of Ganja Department of ANAS Elnur Hasanov, a doctoral student of the University Dogguz Eylul of Turkey Caglar Ozer, a doctoral student of the Jagiellonian University of Poland Wojciech Wroblewski wished success to the forum.

The conference continued its work in the meetings of the sections.
