April 1 - International Bird Day

April 1 is celebrated as International Bird Day in many countries of the world. On April 1, 1906, the International Convention for the Protection of Birds was signed. International Bird Day is celebrated annually within the framework of the biological program "Man and the Biosphere" implemented by UNESCO. The main purpose of this day is to preserve the number and diversity of wild birds.
