The researcher of MSE Institute of Zoology was on a foreign mission

Leyla Nadirli, a scientific worker of the Laboratory of Terrestrial Vertebrates of MSE Institute of Zoology, was on a foreign mission at the Institute of Ecology of Plants and Animals in Yekaterinburg, RAS Ural Region, on 15.11-02.12.2022. The purpose of the study was to conduct molecular analyzes of field mouse samples obtained from the Greater Caucasus region of Azerbaijan, as well as to study the methods of cleaning the skull bones of field mice in laboratory and field conditions, preparing kicks and determining the age of the skull bones. The scientific research work was carried out in the "Phylogenetics and Biochronology" Laboratory supervised by head of the laboratory, Ph.D., Associate Professor A.V. Borodin.
Nucleotide sequences of the cytb gene of mitochondrial DNA were obtained from field mouse samples during the visit. After analyzing the obtained sequencing results in MEGA-X and BioEdit programs, they will be published in articles and placed in the GenBank database.
