The employees of the Institute of Zoology were on the expedition

Employees of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS – the leading researcher acting as the director of the Laboratory of Terrestrial Vertebrates, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Tavakkul Iskandarov, PhD in Biology Gulbeniz Gasimova and a researcher Leyla Nadirli visited the Gakh region on August 1-7 for the purpose of researching herpetofauna and theriofauna. During the expedition, highland areas, as well as waterfalls and riverbanks were inspected, and herpetological, forest and field materials have been collected in accordance with the research plan. The ecological features of the encountered species have been studied and described their biotopes.
