Employees of the Institute of Zoology visited the Republican State Agricultural Museum

On May 31, 2022, a group of employees of the institute, organized by the Trade Organization of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS, visited the Agricultural Museum operating under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijan State Agricultural Museum was established in 1924 at the initiative of the government and the Soil Commissariat. Although it was initially organized as an agricultural exhibition, it was later turned into a museum. The museum, located in the "Veterinary Campus" of the AFSI Binagadi district, reflects the history of development of agriculture in Azerbaijan and the current situation. The museum is one of five museums dedicated to agriculture and covers an area of 500 square meters. It displays more than 10,000 exhibits covering agricultural tools, both traditional and modern combine harvester models, as well as various areas of agriculture such as crop production, livestock, cotton, grain, horticulture and winemaking. The museum's exposition includes documents and photographs dedicated to ethnography, as well as items reflecting the traditional way of life in the village.

Note that after a detailed inspection of the museum, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Azerbaijan State Museum of Agriculture and the Institute of Zoology of ANAS and a photo was taken with the museum staff.
