The defense of the PhD thesis at the Institute of Zoology

On May 6, 2022, in the FD 1.09-Dissertation Council of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS, a junior researcher of the Terresterial Invertebrates Laboratory of the Institute Kamala Bahlul gyzy Isayeva 2413.01 - "Entomology" on the topic “Bark-eating insects and their entomophagous pests of forests and fruit trees on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus”. The scientific supervisor of the research is Dr. Biology Naila Mirzayeva, and the official opponents are Dr. Biology, Prof. Rauf Sultanov, Dr. Biology, Assoc. Prof. Kazim Huseynov and PhD in Biology, Assoc. Prof. Barat Ahmadov.

Opening the event, Executive Director of the Institute of Zoology, Chairman of the Dissertation Council, Ph.D. Elshad Ahmadov gave the floor to the applicant to report. The rapporteur said that for the first time in the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus, the species composition of bark beetles and their entomophagous pests on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus was studied in detail, studied their economic importance and entomophagous.
