Institute of Zoology held the preliminary discussion of Ph.D. dissertation

On December 28, 2021, was held preliminary discussion of the Ph.D. dissertation of Elnura Aslanova, an employee of the Parasitology Laboratory at the Institute of Zoology of ANAS, on topic "Diversity of helminths of mice and rodents (Rodentia: Muridae, Cricetidae) in the Lankaran region, landscape and ecological features of their distribution". 

The scientific supervisor of the dissertation is the head of the Laboratory of Parasitology, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Gara Fataliyev. The dissertation work was carried out in the Parasitology Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology.

For the first time, the dissertation presented the main results of the study of helminth fauna of rodents in the Lankaran region, their study in different landscape-ecological zones. After extensive discussions, the dissertation on "Species diversity of helminths of mice and rodents (Rodentia: Muridae, Cricetidae) in the Lankaran region, landscape-ecological features of their distribution" in specialty 2429.01 - "Parasitology" was considered expedient to submit the to the next stage of scientific discussions, as it meets the requirements of the doctoral dissertations of the HAC of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
