An employee of the Institute of Zoology participated in an international online conference

On September 20-25, 2021, Elshad Asgarov, a researcher of the Laboratory of Terresterial Vertebrates of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS has been elected the member of the Program Committee of the VIII All-Russian Conference "Mountain Ecosystems and Their Components" organized by the Institute of Mountain Ecology after A.K. Tembotov, RAS and delivered three topics at the conference in Nalchik city. The topics of degree of studying the gazelles (Artiodactyla, Bovidae) in the Eastern Caucasus, the American raccoon in the Caucasus: modern habitat and population development trends and the gazelles of Khara Zira Island have aroused interest on the participants and the speaker answered a number of questions.
