Dissertation Council of the Institute of Zoology has hosted the next online meeting

An online meeting of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the participation of members of the Dissertation Council operating under the Institute of Zoology of ANAS was carried out on March 11.
Opinions and proposals were given at the meeting, indicating the official opponents of the dissertation of Elyana Tahirova, a researcher of the institute, on the topic "Fauna and ecology of pelvic amoebae of freshwater basins of Lankaran natural region" on the specialty "Zoology". Elyana Tahirova's research work is dedicated to the study of biodiversity and ecological features of pelvic amoebae in various freshwater basins located in 6 districts of Lankaran natural region. Note that for the first time in the country, the researcher used a scanning electron microscope to study pelvic amoebae. During the research, 8 species and subspecies of pelvic amoebae were recorded for the first time for science and the fauna of the Caucasus.
Giyas Guliyev, head of the Terrestrial Vertebrates Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Namig Mustafayev, head of the Fish Production Technology Department of the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, and Elnara Jafarova, a leading specialist of the Taxonomy Laboratory of Azecolab Company LLC have been advised as the official opponents of the dissertation work by the commission.
