Institute of Zoology hosted an online training seminar on "Initial firefighting"

On December 25, 2020, a training seminar on "Initial firefighting" was held by Nurlan Mammadov, a technical safety engineer of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS. During the online training on the Zoom platform, the speaker noted that fires and explosions pose a great threat to life and the environment, but in many cases the damage can be minimized by proper assessment of combustion theory and fire propagation methods, and showed photo slides on the topic. It covers hazards in the workplace, basic principles of combustion theory, classification of fires, basic measures to reduce fire risk, selection of the right fire extinguishers, how to behave in emergencies, how to follow fire safety habits, and in what cases to contact the hotline "112". He informed the participants about the situation and other key issues. Then a video was shown showing how to properly use fire extinguishers.
Finally, discussions were held around the lecture and questions were responded.
