Gulzar Mustafayeva has been in expedition in Guba-Khachmaz region

The employee of the laboratory of “The introduction of beneficial insects and scientific basis of biological control” Ph.D. in Biology Gulzar Mustafayeva has been in the expedition in Guba-Khachmaz region on June 20-30. She gathered materials related to Homoptera, damaging to agriculture, decorative plants, parlatoria oleae, aphids and their enthomophags, Scale insects (Hemiptera: Coccoidea). She  has taken pictures of them.

Peach aphid-Myzus persicae (Sulzer) on peach leaves, apple aphid-Aphis pomi Deg. on apple leaves, cherry aphid-Myzus cerasi Fabr. on cherry, plum aphid- Hyalopterus pruni Geoffr. on plum leaves, beetrootaphid- Aphis fabae Scop. on beetroot leaves, corn aphid- Rungsia maydis Pass. on corn have been found and taken pictures of them by  Gulzar Mustafayeva. Acacia Colvee-Parthenolecanium corni (Bouche) on acacia tree, plum Colvee- Sphaerolecanium prunastri Fonscolombe on plum branches, mulberry Colvee- Parthenolecanium persicae (Fabricius) on mulberry branches have been identified. Enthomophags of pests have been gathered. 11 species of ladybirds, enthomophags of Homoptera have been found.

Collected entomological materials will be developed in the laboratory.
