It was the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS on October 07, 2019. Director of the institute, doctor of physics Elman Yusifov has opened the meeting and introduced the agenda.

Then Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs, Doctor of Biology Elshad Ahmadov informed the staff about 2019 annual reports.

After it, a petition has been filed before Department of Biology and Medical Sciences on election of the doctor of sciences, professor Zakariyya Mammadov to the post of the head of the Terrestrial Invertebrate Laboratory, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology, Tariyel Eybatov to the post of the head of the Paleozoology, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology Shukur Guliyev to the post of the head of Department of Public Relations, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology Vusala Narimanova to the post of the Head of the Department of Education, as well as Doctor of Philosophy in Biology Nizami Novruzov to the post of a leading researcher at the Paleozoology Laboratory, Nigar Yusifova to the post of researcher of the Paleozoology Laboratory, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology Konul Tapdigova to the post of Senior Researcher of Applied Zoology Center, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology Gulbaniz Gasimova to the post of senior researcher Terrestrial Vertebrate Laboratory.

A number of other issues were also discussed at the meeting.
