Graduation day at ANAS
On July 5, the Graduation day of masters of ANAS was held. Heads of ANAS, rectors of leading educational institutions of the republic and representatives of other state structures took part in the event.
Firstly, Aysel Mammadova and Garay Ashirov, the graduates of the 2019 ANAS, welcomed the guests and announced the event. The national anthem of Azerbaijan was performed at the presentation of graduates.
The graduates, who spoke at the entrance, talked about the role of magistrates of the National Academy of Sciences in the development of highly skilled cadres. It was noted that the application of theoretical knowledge in practice through the transfer of knowledge and experience exchange between advanced scientists and students is important for the achievement of innovative results in science.
Academician-secretary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, corresponding member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov spoke about the history of the establishment of ANAS and recalled the appeal of ANAS leadership to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev for the establishment of a masters’ degree education at the academy. Notwithstanding the short period of its existence, the interest and demand for the masters’ degree of ANAS have been increasing, A. Sadigov said. He gave detailed information about entrance numbers to ANAS Masters’ degree.
Providing information on innovations and achievements in the educational policy of the ANAS on the master's degree in the past years, about the advantages of the Master's degree in the Academy, A.Sadigov noted that, current chairs, as well as contemporary scientific-research laboratories, educational audiences, rich scientific library, experience and said that production facilities have opened up opportunities for masters to complete their education and research at a high level. Speaking about the material and technical base of the ANAS, the academic secretary spoke about the steps taken to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the teaching process.
Saida Nuriyeva, a Master of Physical Physics specialty at the Institute of Physics, shared her impressions about her education at the Academy.
The Academy offers a wide range of international conferences, Olympiads, competitions and public and created conditions for our participation in the events the graduate of the Academy. Our participation in these events together with the most prominent figures of Azerbaijani science was our pride. Our participation in these events was the result of the academician Akif Alizadeh's trust and attention to youth young geologist, graduate Sadiq Yusifov said.
Then Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, corresponding member of ANAS Misir Mardanov, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics Mirbaba Babayev, director of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes, academician Vagif Abbasov spoke about the opportunities created for the graduates to study in the institutes.
At the end of the event, academician Akif Alizadeh congratulated the graduates on the successful completion of their education and said that this is a holiday in the history of science in Azerbaijan. Akif Alizadeh noted that these achievements were achieved thanks to the attention and care of the state, adding that the scientific potential of the Academy has been accumulated through the introduction of the masters’ degree.
Finally, the graduates were awarded diplomas.
