A young scientist of the Institute of Zoology is conducting a research in the United States

A scientist of Protozoology Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS, Ph.D. Turkan Gurbanova conducts a research at the University of Wyoming, Department of Veterinary, Laboratory of Parasitology, USA. The research is carried out within the framework of a one-year grant project entitled "Modern Condition and Epidemiology of Sheep Parasites." The project is funded by the Global Perspectives Grant Program from the University of Wyoming. The main goal of the project is to evaluate the current state of endoparasites of sheep of great economic importance in Azerbaijan and the United States, to identify them by the latest molecular methods, to conduct comparative analysis of parasitofauna and to develop modern measures against them. It should be noted that the project is of pilot nature and it is planned to re-design large-scale projects based on the results obtained.
