ANAS Institute of Botany held an open lesson for students

ANAS Institute of Botany held an open lesson for IX grade students of the Lyceum after academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

At the open lesson, head of the laboratory of the Institute, PhD in Botany Shakar Mukhtarova delivered a paper on plant diversity, the Azerbaijan "Red Book" and endemic vegetation.

In addition, PhD in Botany Parvana Garahni informed on the diversity of Azerbaijani vegetation, the role of the Herbarium Foundation in their protection and research. Also, an updated collection of herbaria in mycology and algology, an exhibition on “Azerbaijan Green Treasures”, reflecting some relict trees of the Hyrcan forest and an interactive map, aroused great interest among students.
