Search method for mutations, causing genetic disease discussed

Professor of the Department of Nervous Diseases of Azerbaijan Medical University, Doctor of Medicine Aytan Mammadbeyli and scientist from UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology UK, Professor Henry Houlden visited ANAS Institute of Genetic Resources.

During the meeting with Director of the institute, corresponding member of ANAS Zeynal Akparov, Professor Henry Houlden were informed on the work in the field of human genetics and others.

In addition, the parties discussed medical genetics, the identification of diseases in new sequencer equipment, detection of mutations, which lead to the emergence of rare genetic diseases, opportunities for future collaboration.

Then, the guests got acquainted with the Department of Biotechnology of the Institute and its laboratories.
