The taxonomic spectrum of the Azerbaijan vertebrate fauna was discussed

A meeting was held on the discussion of the book titled "Taxonomic spectrum of the Azerbaijan vertebrate fauna" on March 29. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss and decide the local names of some bird species included into the avifauna. The head of the Zoological Museum, Sabina Bunyatova made a speech at the meeting and said that the names of 140 varieties of aviculturist have so far been differentiated and the final names have been discussed and adopted. The local names of 20 bird species that were discussed were discussed among the aviculturist, PhD in Biology Elchin Sultanov, PhD in Biology Ilyas Babayev, PhD in Biology Tahir Karimov, PhD in Biology Abulfaz Tagiyev, Sevinj Rajabova, Director of Institute of Zoology of ANAS, PhD in Physics Elman Yusifov, deputy director on scientific affairs of the institute, doctor of biological sciences, professor Elshad Ahmadov and head of the laboratory of terrestrial vertebrates, doctor of biological sciences Giyas Guliyev, and the final names were adopted by majority of votes.
