It is the World Animal Day on October 04

A decision has been made at the International Congress of Naturalists held in Florence, Italy, about the establishment of the "World Animal Day of Husbandry" on October 4, 1931. The purpose of this decision is to direct public attention to the problems of the fauna.

The organization and development of specially protected natural areas to address these problems at the country level plays an important role in the protection and study of wildlife. These areas allow wildlife to survive in a safe environment, increase their number by natural ways in a short time, and restore the populations of rare animal species.

For this purpose, there are 8 National Parks, 12 State Nature Reserves and 23 Natural Landscapes in our country, and their area is about 10.3% of the country's territory.
