The 3rd day of October is the World Birdwatching Day

Based on the proposal of Birdlife International, the 3rd day of October is celebrated as the World Birdwatching Day. The purpose of celebrating this day is to inform the broad masses about the lifestyle of birds, and to emphasize that the number of species is reduced due to their conservation problems, including human activity and environmental pollution, or due to the endanger of being eradicated, and to learn birds' natural biotopes, by attracting people to the holding actions.

Currently, there are more than 9800 species of birds in the world and 404 species in Azerbaijan.
