Employees of the Institute of Zoology conducted Ornithological monitoring

Leading researcher of the Dry vertebrates laboratory of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS, PhD in biology Ilyas Babayev, scientific worker, candidate for a degree Sevinj Rajabova and leading researcher of the Zoological Research Department of the Institute of Bioresources, Institute of Nakhchivan of ANAS, PhD in Biology Mammadov Arzu Farman have successfully completed the international project "Monitoring birds around the Sangachal Terminal" by order of BP from May 27, 2018 to June 16, 2018. Materials were collected around the Sangachal Terminal during Ornithological monitoring and a record was delivered to BP company. Among the noted species, Buteo rufinus and Pterocles orientalis are included only into the Red Book of Azerbaijan, Neophron percnopterus both into the Red Book of Azerbaijan and into the IUCN Red List. Binoculars, telescope and photo camera was used during the investigation.
