Central Scientific Library awarded media representatives with the National Press Day
On July 18, ANAS Central Scientific Library hosted an event titled "In the light of ADR-100: Contribution of CSL to the National Press Information Bloc".
The event, which was attended by media representatives, intellectuals and public figures, was dedicated to July 22 - National Press Day.
Director of CSL, Ph.D. Leyla Imanova congratulated media representatives on professional holiday. L.Imanova spoke about the cooperation of the library with the press and made proposals to ensure the safety of CSL information in Azerbaijan, as well as establishing a scientifically reliable database. He said that the project "Collecting, Examination and Assurance of All-National Data for National Digital Memory" was implemented by Grant from the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Later employees of CSL presented "In the light of ADR-100: Contribution of CSL to the National Press Information Bloc" and the results of the work done by the various departments of the library. Work with free electronic resources, international and public relations, innovative projects, information resources oversight and coordination departments have been coordinated.
Deputy Chairman of the Press Council of Azerbaijan Mushfig Alasgarli spoke about the history of the press and its contemporary situation.
M. Alasgarli highly appreciated the activity of the library, stressing that the Press Council always attached great importance to cooperation with CSL.
Member of the Supervisory Board of the State Fund of Support for Mass Media Development under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ramiz Askerspoke about the state support to the press and care of journalists.
Later, a one-year reader card was presented to the media and journalists who objectively illuminate the innovative activity of CSL. science.az portal also awarded at the event.
The reporters highly appreciated the initiative of CSL and emphasized the importance of closer cooperation with the library. They thanked the journalists for the conditions and attention created by CSL.
