"Clarivate Analytics (Thomson Reuters)" holds workshop at ANAS

On May 2, a two-day seminar for academia's scientific institutions was launched by the International Relations Office of the Presidium of ANAS, Clarivate Analytics (Thomson Reuters).

Academician Dilgam Tagiyev, vice-president of ANAS, made opening remarks at the Central Scientific Library and spoke about the current cooperation between the two organizations, increasing number of users of the Web of Science database in our country. Talking about the importance of using the Web of Science platform as a reliable base for high indexed publications, D.Taghiyev emphasized the importance of the seminar.

Executive Director of Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elchin Babayev, PhD on Physics and Mathematics, representative of Clarivate Analytics in Azerbaijan Aygun Babazade and expert on scientific resources also made reports.

Later, Chief Scientific Officer of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Irina Tikhonkova, head of the editorial staff of the Biopolymers and Cell magazine, made a presentation on the topic of "Researcher’s and scientific enterprises’ publishing strategy".

It should be noted that on the second day of the seminar, Irina Tikhonkova's report on "Modern Scientific Magazines: Attributes, Indicators, Goals and Prospects" will be presented. Practical advice will be given on checking, quality and level of scientific journals, the criteria and criteria for journals to access the Web of Science database, classification of key scientific and technical indicators of scientific journals (editors council, author, reviewers, website, ISSN , doi, indexing in scientific bases) and business models of scientific journals.
