New invention of the employee of the Institute in the world science

Senior scientific worker of the Laboratory of “Hidrobiology”  of the Institute of zoology (ANAS), Ph.D. in Biology Nuriya Shakirovna Shamionova has received a patent of the State Committe for Standardization, Metrology and Patent of the Azerbaijan Republic on the invention of “Fixator of the comb jelly Mnemiopsis leidyi (A.Agassiz)”. Presented invention relates to Biology, Hidrobiology. Comb jelly - Mnemiopsis leidyi can be stored only in this fixator.

Raised issue is solved by applying of cognac with 40% as a fixator for storage of the comb jelly- Mnemiopsis leidyi(A.Agassiz). These species are feeding on fish larvae or zooplankton, serving as food of fish, are causing significant damage to fish breeding.  

Currently, more precious researches will be possible to carry out having a reliable fixator of ctenophore.
