Academician Akif Alizade: "It is necessary to create laboratories on biotechnologies, stem cells and nuclear medicine"

On February 16 was held General Meeting of ANAS and the scientific session "Human Health - the Basis for the Development of the Azerbaijani Society" of the collegium of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Speaking at the event, Academician Akif Alizadeh noted that, the future development of scientific research is directly related to the use of unique scientific instruments. Noting that this is especially important for medicine, the academician stressed the need to strengthen the cooperation ties between the institutes of ANAS and the Ministry of Health in the field of using instruments and equipment.

Noting that, favorable conditions have been created for the application of scientific results in practice, the academician noted that one of the main decisions of the joint meeting should be to unite efforts to develop joint projects for the development of start-ups. Academician Akif Alizadeh said that, the High-Tech Park, created in ANAS, should turn into a training ground, where theoretical biomedical results will find a sphere of practical application and will be given a place to business projects. The academician stressed the need to create joint laboratories on biotechnology, stem cells and nuclear medicine.
