The monograph of employees of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS was published

Professor of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS, correspondent member of ANAS Ilham Alekberov, senior researcher Natalya Segovaya and researcher Elyana Tahirova's monograph "The cadastre of free-bearing infusor and pillows of Azerbaijan" was published.

The monograph summarizes the known information on the diversity and distribution of water and soils of free infusor and pillows of Azerbaijan. The section dedicated to infusors reflects information about 757 species in 13 regions, covering all of Azerbaijan's territory. The monograph was also distributed among biotopes of representatives of different infusions, including marine, fresh water and land in different regions of the republic. There are 265 species in the liveliest section, information on their biodiversity and the diversity of regions and biotopes of Azerbaijan. It should be noted that the monograph is the first generalized information book on Azerbaijan's infusions and pelvic sections. The work carried out using modern methods allows this publication to be regarded as a significant contribution to the overall biodiversity of the Caucasus.
