The memorial of the martyrs of January 20 was commemorated at the Institute of Zoology

A memorial event dedicated to the 28th anniversary of the martyrs of 20 January was held at the Zoology Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. At first the memory of our martyrs was remembered with a minute of silence. Director of the Institute, Elman Yusifov opened the event with the introductory remarks and highlighted the processes taking place in those days.

The event was also attended by prominent scientific workers of the Land Acquired Laboratory Tavakkul Isgandarov, Elchin Sultanov, Head of the Parasitology Laboratory, Gara Fataliyev and others, by speech that the 20 January incidents were an important step towards the independence of Azerbaijan.

At the end a documentary film about 20 January tragedy was demonstrated.
