Joint final Report of Biology and Medical Sciences Department and the Institute of Zoology

A joint meeting of the Institute of Zoology and Biology and Medical Sciences was held on December 8, 2017 at the Institute of Zoology of ANAS.

Director of the Institute of Genetic Resources of ANAS, its correspondent member Zeynal Akperov (chairman), secretary of the Department of Biology and Medical Sciences Afig Mammadov and 20 members of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS took part in the meeting.

the Chairman, corresponding member of ANAS Zeynal Akperov openly announced the agenda issue to the members of the Scientific Council uponn introduction. Then Director of the Institute, Ph.D. Elman Yusifov gave detailed information about the scientific activity of the Institute of Zoology in 2017.

Thus 41 scientific studies on one direction, 3 problems and 11 topics were conducted at the Institute of Zoology, in 2017. The first problem involved 6 workshops on 2 themes, 10 issues on 4 issues on the second problem and 25 workshops on 4 issues on the third problem.

E.Yusifov said that Institute staff published 4 monographs, 2 textbooks, 1 methodical recommendation, 62 articles and 13 theses abroad. 46 articles were published in foreign journals and 16 in impressive magazines, of which 10 were included in the Thomson Reuters database. In the reporting year 15 references were made to scientific works of the staff of the institute.
