Employees of the Institute of Zoology participated in a training on oil contaminated animals

Employees of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS participated in the training on "Oiled wildlife response training " on November 6-7.

The two-day training was organized by BP.

During the training, the Institute staff was informed about the effects of oil on wild animals, safety issues, the basics of anatomy and the threatened species, management roles and work in crisis situations. Participants also learned about field operations, trafficking of wild animals, rules of behavior with them, cleaning and release of oil-contaminated animals, and storage facilities for such animals.

The skills of the participants gained here were tested at the second day of the training. At the end, all the institute employees who successfully passed the training were awarded certificates.
