Defense of dissertation by the employee of Institute of Zoology of ANAS was held at the Dissertation Council

The scientific worker of the Center for Applied Zoology Gulnar Gahramanova's defense of the dissertation was held on the subject "Corticella (Coleoptera), their composition, bioecology and trophic connection in Ganja-Gazakh region" in the Dissertation Council of the Institute of Zoology of ANAS.

G. Gahramanova touched upon the study of pests, which plays a crucial role in the reduction of the quantity and quality of grain and grain products. The researcher identified 54 species of cereals in Ganja-Gazakh region, 10 of them were firstly noted in Azerbaijan, 26 of them in the research area.

The author has studied the bioecological properties of these species, their frequency of randomness, compiled the flight dynamics of the main pests, the phenological calendar, and calculated their loss of autumn wheat.

The researcher conducted an ecological assessment of insect fauna in Ganja-Gazakh region for the first time.
