Living Systems Research Institute announces admission to Doctoral Studies

Living Systems Research Institute of the Azerbaijan Republic Ministry of Science and Education announces admission to doctoral studies in the specialties listed below, in accordance with the “Admission Plan for Doctoral Training for 2026 in Higher Education Institutions, Scientific Institutions, and Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” approved by the Order No. 320s of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 14, 2026.

Admission Procedures

Applications for doctoral studies are submitted electronically through the “Education Centralized Information System”  TMIS (via portal.edu.az, from May 19 to June 9, 2026, for a period of three weeks).

Applicants to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program must submit the following documents:

* an application addressed to the head of the scientific institution;
* personnel registration form;
* curriculum vitae (CV);
* two photographs (3×4 cm);
* an extract from the employment record book for applicants with work experience;
* a reference letter from the workplace;
* a list of published scientific works or a research essay (referat) in the chosen specialty;
* a notarized copy of the higher education diploma (citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who graduated from foreign higher education institutions must also submit a certificate of recognition of their educational documents);
* a copy of an identity document;
* a copy of an international foreign language certificate, if available (IELTS, TOEFL, TestDaF, DELF, DALF, STANAG, Cambridge English Qualifications).

Note: Applicants holding a valid international foreign language certificate are exempt from the foreign language entrance examination. The equivalence of international language certificate scores to the required passing score is determined by the State Examination Center.
