The Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry opened an international laboratory

ANAS Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry has opened the International Laboratory of Soil Ecology as a part of the Department of Agroecology and Soil Bonification on September 14.

The event was attended by Deputy Academician-Secretary of the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences, corresponding member of ANAS Zeynal Akbarov, adviser on agrarian issues of ANAS, academician Garib Mammadov, director of the Institute of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, corresponding member of ANAS Alovsat Guliyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Korea in Azerbaijan, Kim Chang-gu, chairman of the Association of the Azerbaijan-Korean Cultural Exchange SEBA (Seoul-Baku), Ph.D. in Biology Ruhangiz Heydarov and others.

Important role of the laboratory in the further development of the Institute was noted and in its scientific appointment in the agrarian sphere of the republic, as well as the laboratory will contribute to the direction of cooperation between Azerbaijan and South Korea.

During the speeches, it was said that the equipment in the laboratory, and in general at the institute itself, was provided by Korean experts in the framework of an agreement signed with the support of SEBA with the Seoul National University of the South Korean Republic. This equipment is widely used in the developed countries of the world, and its work is based on the methodology of international standards. An important place among them is occupied by ICP-7200. Installations of this type, carry out a multi-element analysis and can conduct it in both liquid and solid form substances. The use of such equipment will make it possible to study the soil ecology in the country on the basis of exact figures, to increase the productivity of land, to zoning agricultural territories and to effectively organize work on the adopted state programs.
