Provided Assistance to low-income families on Novruz holiday

Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society and its ANAS Department organized a campaign to support the Novruz holiday.

Head of the department Jeyran Nagiyeva said that within the framework of the project, food aid to about 70 low-income families will be provided to the academy's 15 scientific institutions and organizations.

Then Vice President of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society Gafar Askerzade delivered congratulations of the President of the organization, MP Novruzali Aslanov. Askerzade noted that the Society was founded on March 10, 1920 in the period of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.

Askerzade said that the Red Crescent Society is one of the first aid organizations in emergencies and other events in the country, adding that the organization has always given people joy.

Later, Deputy Director of the Department of Administrative Affairs of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan Sardar Aliyev said that the activity of the unit was restored in 2016 and several successes were achieved during the 2-year activity.
